Coplestonians FCFramlingham Town Coplestonians FC 1
Framlingham Town 1

Half time: 1 - 1

Kick off: 14:30, Saturday, April 24 2010

A closely fought draw looks likely to have secured Senior football for both sides next season. The home side started brightly but it was Framlingham who had the first chance when Gary Ross lofted his shot well over the bar. Nick Mark saw Simon Nunn pull of a fine one handed save from his drive as Cops responded and Nathan Woollard then curled his shot over the Framlingham bar. A corner from Ashley Holmes saw Cops Centre Back Jamie Robinson head powerfully past Nunn to give the Cops a 25th minute lead. Baden Holmes then fired over the bar for Cops when well placed. The away side equalised in first half injury time when Mark Wake found Matthew Chaplin who turned well to fire past Christian Burrup via the post. After the break the home side continued to play the better football but were lacking in quality in the final third. Framlingham had less of the ball but created the better chances and Burrup made a great point blank save to deny Ross. Late in the half Nunn saved well from Iain Radnor before Baden Holmes set up Ryan Stafford but his shot flew over the bar. In the dry and dusty conditions both sides seemed satisfied to have beaten the elements and taken a share of the spoils.
