In this Omnico Cup Semi Final the home side made the better start forcing a couple of early corners with Vincent heading just over from the second corner, then Ross fired over the bar when well placed. Morrison put a freekick wide for the visitors before Nunn saved with his feet from Mayhew. Wake shot just over then Vincent had the ball in the net but a freekick was given.
The visitors took the lead after 55 minutes when Mayhey pulled the ball back and Whilshaw shot went in off the underside of the crossbar. Morrison had a header cleared of the line while Hunt saved well from Chaplin Framlingham had the chance todraw level in this Semi Final with a penalty after a foul in the area but Wakes shot was well saved by Hunt in the Capel goal. Both sides contiued to attack but there were few chanes created and Capel went on to go through to thier second Final this season..
