The Castlemen made their first visit to Ram Meadow where a late pitch inspection by referee Mary Harmer and in discussion with both managers deemed the ground to be fit for purpose therefore Team Bury and Fram met for the first time this season. With Danny Smith still recovering from a recent injury Mel Aldis opted to bring in Charlie Smith for Oliver Mitchell. Fram started brightly but the home side soon got into their stride, passing the ball about and with Fram keeper Rose passing the ball out of the area to Bird the home side almost took the lead as Thorpe blocked the shot.Hammett was lively and set up Bird and McGavin both players shooting wide. Kerrdge lost his marker twice but on both occasions shot wide of Bugg's post. Fram had the better chances in the second half with Bugg fumbling the ball however the Fram players were unable to take advantage and the home defence cleared before Poacher had a clear chance but shot over from close range. Bury had a couple of late corners but as the light faded the points were shared. Next fixture is a home game in the Division KO Cup against Wisbech St Mary on Tuesday 7th Feb KO 7.45pm, a report will be submitted during the week. Saturday 11th Feb Fram will entertain Downham Town KO 3pm in a Division One league game.
The Reserves welcomed top of the table Westerfield to Badingham Road with the management introducing some Youth players to replace three regulars who were missing. The visitors showed their experience and returned home with a 2-0 victory that keeps them at the head of Intermediate A. Yet again the Youths had their midweek game postponed this time against Walsham le Willows, the Badingham Road pitch was very wet.
Congratulations to Max Willett who featured for the Suffolk Under 18's against Bedfordshire recently and scored the first goal in a 2-1 win.
